The three TBAS simulators

Airplane Tracking (ATT / AHTT)

Keep the gunsight on one airplane with the joystick and the box on the other with the pedals.

It measures your ability to track a moving target in two dimensions, horizontal and vertical.

How the subtest works

Multitasking in play: four panels at once, a word check, an addition to key in, a gauge to hold in the green and four numbered tiles.

Multitasking (MTT)

Juggle a letter memory drill, arithmetic, a drifting gauge and radio calls, all four at once.

It measures time sharing: keeping several tasks going at once, not arithmetic or memory as such.

Directional Orientation (DOT / UAV)

Use the drone's heading on the map to click the parking lot a voice names in the aircraft view.

It measures spatial orientation: you determine the aircraft's position relative to a target.
